I think to get back the 25hp robbed between pre-production and customer cars you would need an ECU re-map as a minimum.
I have a decent air filter and straight through pipes but occasionally find myself thinking "come on, come on", when a bit more poke would have been nice.
You can't beat pushing a Boxter down a dual carriageway!
