I've said it before and at the risk of offending the residents of the fine country of Belgium, many seem to have little, or no, perception of speed.

Many seem to like the perceived thrill of being rear ended (there is a cheap joke there, so please control your inner-Jim-Davidsons grin2 ) by another vehicle at speed; therefore, I often find them pulling out, into the fast lane, without a glance in either the rear view or over their shoulders. This either necessitates rapid braking (at best) or ABS and avoidance (at worst).

I've never experienced anything like it in any other country I've driven in.

And if you think the M25 is a giant parking lot filled with white-van-men and bad drivers, it has nothing on the Antwerpen Ring Road viking
