The Goodwood Revival can get crowded but if you arrive early you can get round the main attractions in relative comfort and then be out along the track to watch the racing before the hoards arrive.
I go every year but I live on the doorstep. I'm not sure I could justify the cost annually if I had to factor in accommodation too but it's certainly worth doing at least once.
(The hillclimb by the way is the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a different event at a different venue).
