The original steering wheel has deformed well by the look of that, so has probably prevented a more serious injury. No intrusion? Did you see the creases to the gearbox cover around the handbrake and the vertical panel on the passengers side (where they always seem to go)? Still lots of good parts there but unless changed you would be buying a couple of boxes full of 10 year old parts so with labour the value of stripping it for parts is close? Such a shame to see a car in this state, I guess if you had a base compatible car and the space it could provide a host of parts and trim in particular....trim parts often move in a big thump metal parts are always suspect for stress fractures.
