Lovely day here --so went in the Mog to check everything OK for the Drive it Day at the National Stone Centre in Wirksworth Derbyshire. An interesting site - lots of geology simply explained,explanation of different walling techniques and some good walks with great views - long or short according to how you feel a cafe with great cakes and very friendly/enthusiastic people in charge. They will open up the lower car park area for us so we can be near to the Centre - if raining will open the education centre so we can sit in the dry.
Cost Free - but £1 honesty box car park - entrance to the indoor exhibition a fiver.
Arrive 11am ish onwards - if too late may have to use the main car park if Morgan area fills up.
