Depending on the model of grease gun you have, there should be no need to spoon feed the grease from the can into it! The can should have a disc on top of the grease and you push down the open grease gun into it and it should fill up. The plunger should have a ratchet to hold it fully compressed whilst you do this. DONT press the ratchet to release the plunger until you have put the end back on the grease gun! Been there...done that...very messy!!
