Well the box of 4 Alloygater strips arrived.
The frst one was easy enough to fit, a lot of hammering with a plastic mallet resulted in the nice shiny black surface of the strip becomming dulled in places.
They looked OK from a distance but a bit "C&N" close up.
Also I felt uncomfortable with a serrated strip of plastic wedged between the tyre and wheel, they slide about 12mm down between the rim and the tyre. Perhaps they are safe enough but I just felt it was wrong.
So I've removed the first one and won't be fitting the rest.
I know I'll kerb the wheels again at some point, but I'd rather pay £60 or so to have them properly re-finished that fit what is, after all, a bodge.
Anyone want them? Might look OK on a scruffy Renault Clio....
