As much as the Disco can feel indominatable there are those days (last night being one) when you shake your head in dispair at the quality of JLR products.
After a day in for service it has an engine fault, which was then fixed the next day (and a basket of Italian goodies left as a present). And last night it has decided to have a complete paddy - transmission fault - which bizarrely may only be a brake bulb out - or the battery on the blink. The latter was on charge last night and yet the fault was present again this morning!
I will do a full battery disconnect tonight and then a bulb check.
The Morgan is more reliable!!!
Interestingly, we had some guests come for one of our cottages last Friday. There had been a bad accident enroute which gridlocked many of the roads and theiir 3 year oold 3 series BMW had a dickie fit in the traffic. It started off saying there was an automotatic transmission fault which then progressed to telling there was also a traction control problem followed by ABS malfunction and whole liteny of toher warnings and flasshing lights. They finally made it here and called out BMW breakdownn the next day who carried out some tests including downloading something that was sent off to BMW head office to analyse the fault. It came back there was a faulty tyre pressure sensor on one of the wheels although the tyre pressures were fine. Apparently, it triggered off a chain reaction of faults all of which were OK apart from this sensor! New sensor ordered.
