I had the same problem on my '59 4/4 after a rebuild.
If you have changed the floorboards it is easy to get the tunnel out of line.
I had changed the gearbox, so it needed a new front cover, so the rear tunnel needed a bit of adjustment and packing.
As Dave says take it off and find out where it is touching probably around the universal joint coupling. Try realigning the tunnel if on the sides, packing up if on the top.
A Panhard rod would be cheaper and easier than new springs.
