My company car is coming up for renewal in a month and so I have just made a decision on a new one

I think I been through at least 11 company cars over my working life most being on 3 year leases and each time I have opportunity to order and choose my car there has been a real excitement even if having to downspec.

As I do around 40K miles a year seeing clients all over the country and have to balance the cost to my business with the cost to my personal tax and practicalities of sometimes having to carry large items to clients or meeting our fitters - chairs, boxes of ceiling tiles etc, I required an estate or large hatch type car.

Since having the Morgan, I have never been so uninterested or apathetic to choosing a new car yawn

I even struggled to bother to ring around for quotes. I only visited one showroom and was completely bored particarly when the sales person couldn't really tell me the difference between a BMW 3 series and a 4 series "its just a matter of personal preference" said the salesperson crazy3

When I was asked whether I wanted a test drive, I made some excuse as to why I didn't need to as I couldn't face the palaver of taking time out driving yet another boring car

I'm so bored I haven't even looked at the full spec of the car I've ordered, I've just assumed its got all the boring bit that make it a completely cosseted univolving drive to get me from A to B

If you, unlike me, are remotely interested it's a BMW 5 series touring in doubly boring grey and black

yawn
