Of course keeping things in perspective even the latest Plus 8s are still approx 5mm (nearly 2 inches in your older Plus 8s money) narrower than a Mk7 Golf,
Err..5mm or 50mm? 50mm is 2", 5mm is about 3/8"....
The new Plus 8 looks a lot wider as the front track is the same as the rear. The Roadster we had, and I guess the other trads, are a narrower at the front track than the rear.
