I have Yokos on my Plus8.
Newly put on early this year to replace Yokos that were on.
Old tyres were at just under 4mm when replaced. New tyres have 8mm of tread. At annual mileage of 7k+ the cost of replacement at that depth is easily acceptable...why eke out a few more miles at the expense of grip?
I find them good wet weather tyres.
I prefer the added ability in the wet to dry weather performance as it is more crtical on wet roads....we do have a lot in Wales!
They are good in the dry and who drives to the limits of grip on public roads anyway?
The only " oofer" moment I have had was hitting a diesel spillage on a roundabout on the Windermere weekend couple yrs ago..back end broke away causing swmbo to exhibit here full vocabulary! I was not going so fast as to lose it and caught the car fairly easily. It did prompt the fitting of a rollbar though!
