Frequenty, on this forum fellow Moganeers share their concerns about A new unidentified sound or noise. In their hilarious radio program Car Talk, the tapper brothers would ask the caller to immitate the sound. Always good for a laugh!
On this forum we have the "how to" and we have collections of photographs. This made me wonder if a data base of frequently noted Morgan sounds, would be something. It may put some at ease to hear that "they all do that".
The leafsprings rubbing the chassis for example. I was quite alarmed by it when i first experienced it. Another category could be sounds that represent early warnings of upcomming trouble, etc. more and more folk have smart phones to record sounds. Popular could be exhaust note comparisons, in analogy to Morgan colour samples. It will be a considerable effort to make something like this work and sound quality may be problematic.
What do we think, unrealitic?
Kind regards,
