The thing is that with Morgan's they are particularly vulnerable to stone chips because of the near vertical from wings.

Imagine that you are travelling at say 50 mph and a stone Flint is flicked up from the car in front ...that tiny stone chip will hit your paint at 100mph.

No paint will survive!

I do think that the 3M type protective films have merit - and I am looking into this for the when the Roadster arrives.


I fitted 3M myself to my +8 and it works a treat, tricky to get right, need to cut template first and then be patient. Look at front wings that already have it first.

My Roadster had it factory fitted and saved the paint very well. Obviously if a large chip hits at speed it may get through.
