My tax disc holder is alloy - branded Morgan, with five fiddly countersunk allen setscrews. Tonight I've replaced the tax disc in half the time it took last time. First take out the top three screws. Then slacken off the lower two, but not too far. The top of the back plate will now come away at the top by a few mm. Now take a short length of masking tape (sticky side towards tax disc) - and slot it down inside the holder from the top. Push the back plate up so that the masking tape sticks to the old tax disc. Now you can pull it out. The replacement disc can just be dropped in. If you like it 'level' (like me - sad but true
)- it can be adjusted with a corner of masking tape slotted from the top as before. Then tighten all the screws.........
