I had an MGTA for many years and to be honest the build quality was poor. It was a cheaply built sports car with lots of Morris bits including the mpjg engine. The metal on the block and casings was of extremely poor quality. Once Cecil Kimber was booted out it became a parts bin car and not built as well as the j2 pa/pb etc.
The Morgan is better built by far - stainless bulkhead, galvanised chassis, alloy body, modern mechanicals and decent brakes.
They are not comparable in any way.
I Like the combination of old and new and I'm not convinced on the need to change the rear suspension to the ARP set up as it changes that mix of old andnew.
I was seriously considering a T type again before I bought the Morgan and I'm glad I made it a Morgan.
