At very minimum exchange names and contact details...tel, address etc.
Insurers can be passed on when you check your paperwork later.
Points to note...
Do not admit liability.
Take photos of vehicles showing the damage to both and positions,driver of other vehicle and note location details,weather time of incident etc. Get confirmation of any injuries and if any claimed then insist on police attendance. I believe there was recent coverage of a tightening of rules re compensation claims to stop the racket of false claims for injury.
A dashcam could be invaluable!
Get witness details...independant witnesses are worth their weight in gold!
Just an afterthought...if it looks like someone is getting aggressive ..road rage... Then call police if you feel threatened or at risk.
