If I may be so bold:
Notwithstanding the fact that opinion on the cars is divided....as perhaps it always will be....I am still not clear on what the donation to the RBL is likely to be.
One poster suggested it was £1000 per car, though I can see no reference to that on TM and it is not mentioned on the Oakmere website listing of the car (that the OP's link takes you to). Have I missed something?
The Oakmere letter says 'A car to place in the centre of Manchester over Christmas in our pop up shop to collect donations in the shop for the RBL and then donate some of the proceeds from each sale to a worthy cause.'
This suggests to me that the street donations will go to the RBL and that the proceeds from the sale of the cars will go to a different (unknown to me) worthy cause. Is this what was meant or, again, have I missed something?
Perhaps 'someone in the know' would be kind enough to clarify the intent.
