When I joined the Morgan fold it became clear that it would be prudent to carry a few tools in the car to help with "running repairs". The problem was where to put them since the late model cars don't have tool tray under the bonnet. The space behind the seats was likely to be taken up with holdalls, handbags etc etc. There is a nice space under the spare wheel but I didn't fancy a couple of pounds of tool roll bouncing about on the undertray. However there is a nice substantial plate carrying the spare wheel bracket and protecting the fuel tank. I removed the plate and attached a couple of gutter mounting/connecting brackets from a building DIY supplier.

When the plate was refitted the tool roll fitted comfortably on the brackets and was secured with a couple of velcro straps.
