On the week of 15 July through 18 July 2009 famed Keeneland horse park in Lexington KY had their Concourse with Morgan
being the honored brand to honor Morgan's centenial celebration as well as all thats Morgan.
A good selection of Morgans on hand, including some pristine three wheelers, older plus 4 models, two aeros, mine being one of those and a stated rare mid fifties Morgan found in a barn which was billed as one of ten known still in existance.
I am sure the day was simular to the Beaulieu or Cheltenham events I have followed with interest on the site. I did meet some of the other Morgan owners here, with an eighty year old
women who drove her plus 4 one hundred miles to the event being my favorite conversation of the day. This lady in many ways is what owning a Morgan is all about, but more on that in another post. All in all a great day which a local hospital benefitted from the proceeds of the event.
Since I enjoy this site often I have secured three of the hardbound programs for Aeroman/Boshly/Simon as a small gift
for doing such a great job with this site.Guys tell me where to send and I will get these out to you.
I took over 100 photos of the event and am trying to figure
out how to subset and post by category. Besides Morgans, a lot of European autos of various vintages. I can post as many photos as folks want to see including the stars of the day,
Morgans, many Morgans...
