Definitely not a silly question and which I have been pondering for a little while.
In the course of "normal driving" (no such thing in a Moggie) I rarely go above 4000rpm, the GDI engine seems to provide enough poke at that level and I seem to recall that the handbook quotes somewhere around 6000rpm for max torque so I would also be very interested if anyone who has real knowledge can enlighten us.
