This thread shows our generation has so much in common, quite independent from different nationalities. I wonder if our kids or grandchildren will have a similar experience when they reach our age.
When I was young one was a conservative or an socialist (and because of all the discussions we had to know the other side as well). Nowadays the societies are splitted in so many segmented groups without interaction and a big part of youngsters conversation is typed into a smartphone without real face to face communication or confrontation. We had to fight to wear blue jeans and long hair while our kids have to hassle where to find the best spots for their vaccation.
I am convinced we had a more intensive live than they have. And we had the better music!
