The Bewlay Brothers; the Gothic imagery never fails to appeal to me. And the best album artwork has to The Man Who Sold the World. Not the silly glamrock re-issue, but the louche posture in the brocade gown, boots and beret. Absolutely outrageous in the early 70s.
Unlike all we have heard in the last 24hrs about Ziggy Stardust, and later personae, I always favoured the early slightly mystical stuff.
