When I had my Audis, they were always seen as the thinking mans car, the Merc was for the older driver and the BMW was for the afore said idiots.
It's a real pity that modern cars are so powerful and insulate the driver to such an extent. When we all started driving you could hear and feel every aspect of the drive and could tell when something was amiss or that you had overdone the loud pedal but at the speeds we were doing you had time, and space, to correct it.

My Morgans brought me back to "real" driving and back to all the fun I had with cars when I was young.
