Know a bit more about garlic after last night's Countryfile though
I've only had two reverse switches fail, both on a pal's mini and another on a B reg 90 belonging to another pal (both went short circuit to ground - blew fuse whenever reverse was selected).
Good thinking on checking the wiring - I've had a connector fall off more than once.
