remove the knob cut down the shaft re thread the top of the shaft Fit replacement S/Steel knob using existing leather cowl
Just remember that once you have cut it down you cannot easily build it up so don't go too short.
Mine is nice with just a wrist flick through the cogs.
Risk is reverse gear so think about it as well before cutting down too short.
My ever patient wife is unable to drive the S2 manual now for a couple of reasons. She is almost unable to push the shortened lever past the reverse detent/gate spring due to the leverage involved. With both hands she can just about do it but given the reach for the fly off handbrake and distance to pedals this could make parking on a sloped car park quite expensive and risky.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
