I've found my book and I'd say that if it was for sale at the right price, it would be worthwhile asking the MTWC Registrar what they have on it. To do this, at the bare minimum, you'd need the UK registration. Ideally added to that, the chassis number and the engine number. The fact the car is sporting a 70 years badge suggest either it has been around a while, or somebody wants you to think that.

Reason being, the car could be a 1932 one, although if so, a very narrow range of manufacture dates from October 1932 to December 1932 as with that drop (book says an inch, not 1.5") it would make the car a 33 model. (My late night memory fails me - not a 35 at all).

JAP engines were catalogued then, but I don't know how many were made with sidevalve ones. Can't tell from the photo what the bodystyle is, but a Sport Family would be both a possibility if the engine really was original, although I still doubt it.

Got any more photo's? Does get a bit of interest going.
