well, now that Adrian has admitted it I can add my "congratulations"!!
Adrian and I went over to Berrybrook on Saturday and spent an hour or more looking at the car and talking to Henry and his team.
I have to say I'm ever so slightly envious...the car is immaculate and photos don't do justice to the colour and overall condition.
In the workshop was another S1 Aero 8 with the nearside wing removed. I was surprised just how different the S1 engine layout is from the +8/S4 and S5, in particular the oil filter and power steering pump under the wing. Now I understand why on these cars a service means "wing off"! The later 4.8 cars are, in that respect, much more user friendly.
The ride in Tarka, over roads he knows very well, confirmed that Aero suspension is superior to that on a Roadster and there is nothing quite like the sound of a big V8 - especially as the Blue Beast has a sports exhaust.
I know Sue is going to like it, I can see her stepping elegantly out of the car.
