I do drive my Aero to the office and Asbo, you're right about it being the silver lining on an otherwise frustrating day!
I would also be happy to, (and will when the weather improves!), take mine on one of my longer work trips (1,000-miles, over 2-days, in Europe); however, would never relegate the car to daily driver use.
I hope that makes sense. The point I was trying to make (need more
) is that my choice not to is based on personal choice regarding use of the car, not reliability.
I like knowing I have a daily-hack for days when I don't want to worry about: -
Where I can park without having some numpty put a dent in one of the cars panels.
Cringing when a rock hits the front and then spending another 200-miles+ wondering what damage I'll see when I get out.
Having to consider weather conditions! For instance, the Aero was spinning its rear wheels from a stop on Saturday (the roads were damp) and nice and playful on roundabouts; where as, my daily hack provides completely predictable and anaesthetised driving. While I enjoy the tactility of my Morgan when I'm driving for pleasure, it does require more concentration than a standard car in tricky weather. They aren't a lairy handful but they do require a more concentration than a standard car with all the 'driver aids'.
...I'm sure there are other things I consider but that is a good start!
Now, where are the rest with their opinions?
