Ok, to qualify my 2p's worth, I have done approximately 40,000km in my S2 and have just returned from a 3200km trip in an S4. The only problem that affected the cars ability to transport me in comfort and ste was a chaffed (sp?) water hose that dumped the coolant on my S2. Not bad I would suggest.
I guess to re-iterate these cars getmore and more reliable as the miles are put on them. They will nevevr be 100% as most cars aren't. You only need to read about some of the problems encountered by many Ferrari, Lambo Aston and even Porsche owners. A friend of mine took a DB7 to Le Mans and came home in 'safe mode' dumped it for a 360spider the next year and virtually exactly the same thing happened (though when it warmed up only-thus many stops). Not commonplace, but happens.
I'm guess I'm not really saying much but just adding a bit more perspective. And yes I am aware that Ortho has had some issues and that another Aero I am aware of also did, but I repeat I'm sure miles will resolve these.
Good luck on solving your gremlins Edi and GLLHG (hope I've got that right - all those consonants not even Carol V could do anything with those

) the question of whether you could use an Aero as an 'everyday' for continental trips is a no brained for me. I have done four trips to St Tropez, one to Switzerland and Austria, one to Spa and The Rabbit Run (Inc the Nordschleif) with no trouble. It's what they're built for.
As for living with the car every day at work. You pays your money....
Hope that helps.
