It might be worth contacting the guys at Garage56. I know from their facebook page that they've been investigating this issue with the help of a F1 gearbox shop and it certainly sounds as if they're determined to get to the bottom of it!
In the meantime, 'keep the faith'! My 2012 bevel box is silent below 50mph and not obtrusive above that speed. So quietness IS possible!
