I am not on this page very often but I have received a handful of emails from people wanting to know how the box is holding up after my rebuild. The box is still holding up good. I have a full time oil temperature gauge mounted in the box to keep an eye on things. In 90+ degree heat the oil ( 90% Lucas Oil gear oil Stabilizer)gets to about 180 degrees after about an hour of driving at 65 - 70 MPH. I modified the lower tunnel panel to make an air intake to funnel air to the bevel box. This makes little to no difference when the air temp is above 90 degrees but with air temp around 80 degrees to reduces oil temp in the box by 5 to 10 degrees. I have removed the box from the car and serviced it every 1500 miles to check the condition of the oil and bearing preload. I recommend servicing the box OUT of the Morgan every time. The box should be flushed out and filled on a bench to make sure it is serviced properly.
