Exactly my plan! One of the guys with a +8 LM62 did this very job and looked excellent (he has a smaller Swiss Number pLate too!).

I too would be interested in how you removed the rear plate. On investigation on mine it appears that I have to remove the brackets that hold the overriders. As they are mounted through a hole in the rear plate that is not big enough to slide the plate over the brackets with the overriders removed. So the next challenge was to locate how these brackets are attached to the chassis. I saw two bolts but need to see how easy they are to remove and how easy to slide the brackets out to drop the rear plate. I then plan to fabricate a new panel as do not want to destroy the original. Similar to the front number plate 'box' on my car the rear panel is aluminium and harder to cut than the later ones. It is quite strange that one of the other LM62 guys tells me his rear plate is actually seperate and it is possible to remove it. I find it strange as all the LM62 cars were built at the same time with common components.....the mystery of Morgan!
