I understand that production has stopped is because of the need to provide "isofix" mountings for children's seats in the rear. which are not possible with the seats as they are.
I was also told that it isn't forever, but probably a couple of years before they can re-engineer the seats.
Common sense should surely prevail. ISOFIX is a great system (and was not allowed in Australia when we moved here) but what is the need in a Morgan? With the ISOFIX base in place the car seat will be well above the windcreen (and the back seat is already high). A better solution would to be exclude kids in car seats from Morgans.
{I know some do it and I don;t have a problem with that - but it is the minority and not the key market).
