My answer would be, "What ever makes it work well" without dragging the brakes. Not trying to be funny, but there are so many features of this system that are, or may not be up to snuff that the Morgan Parking brake is pretty much a joke. The Pawl wears and vibration will release the parking brake. Cable stretch, etc. etc. On My +4 I converted to a MGB system with some results. Still the "fly off" brake handle, fly's off when it should not. Frankly I use a block of wood for a parking brake. And leave it in gear. With wheels turned to the curb. I have no experience with Morgans built after 1998.
