He is charging (at the moment) $795 for the sprocket, coated, ready to go.

He didn't mention any core charges, etc. Mainly that these are used aluminum sprockets that have been machined and coated.

Important: I really don't know anything more than you. Other than he said they've been doing this for four years and the sprockets have a lifetime warranty. When asked, what would he do for his personal M3W, he said he'd probably go with this one rather than a steel replacement. (Don't know the relative markup for him).
