I've measured mine....22inches/56cm.
Mine are definitely sports silencers and sound quite loud. I had reason to remove one and discovered that the central tube is 'straight through' with a slight offset between front and rear of the can and a perforated section in the middle.
Mine is a rear exit system with twin stainless tailpipes each side.
