I did have some internal debate as far as doing the stage one if I'm doing my own exhaust, but with other projects and jobs that need done it'll probably be at least a year or so after ownership that I get around to tackling that. It's mostly just a hobby, but I would like to know if what I make is actually up to snuff as far as the stage 1 kit goes. Outdoing the stock won't be much of a task, but if there's anything to gain over a stage one I wouldn't mind having that as a baseline. All things considered the price isn't that prohibitive for me to get it. Even if it does end up being wall art at some point.
From what I can tell the head rests are removable. I'd like to have something back there just in case, but if it becomes a totally pointless thing to have in there, I can pop them out. Having the option to put them in or not would be nice, vs it being something I want later on down the road and having to order them. Not sure what the QC is like as far as their leather goes, but I've had to get replacements for something and the color three years down the road can be different. And that's not even accounting for any UV fade that may occur.
Glad to see the mohair cover is the way to go, and yeah that cream bakelite is just a work of art in my opinion, as is the whole vehicle, but that's just fantastic looking, and I think it'll work well with the ivory body color.
I am on the fence about the louvers. They're just entirely decorative are they not. I mean the motor is out front, and the transmission is pretty much below anything in there, I don't know that they offer any real ventilation do they?
