That belt needs to be tight too.
We, (Chris Rog & myself) compared belt adjustment & free play at Brooklands last year between our cars & all were really under some tension, mine following a MMC rebuild as apparently factory measure from the ground up datum, where others measure up/down tension
Harley do a tension tester, & M y belt is around 1/4" vertical tension at the centre point.
