Got some horror story from one Authorized dealer regarding the price of a replacement slave cylinder for the rear brakes. He mentioned a figure of £100 but also said that they were nigh on impossible to get.
I received 2 today from brakes international, £25.29 for 2 inçluding postage. Theyre used in the ford transit van range, i went for the BWC5099, it has the largest bore piston, 22mm so may tend to give a harder pedal feel although wether this is felt with the car having a servo remains to be seen and of course i'm not sure whst morgan has installed from new. The smallest diameter piston they have is around 16mm. If selecting from the range you need to be sure that the slave cylider selected has the split pin that locates the piston onto the backplate on the right hand side of the bleed valve when viewed from the back of the backplate. The cylinders seem to come with extended bleeď nipples so the original bleed nipple may need to be transferred. Anyway at that price its worth having a couple on the shelf, you never know.
