Having suffered with arthritic knees for some time now, I finally decided to fit a quick release steering wheel boss.
After some research I decided on a Brown & Geeson adaptor, the main reason for this was that the main flange to the steering column had to have a large enough diameter recess to accept the steering column securing nut and the horn wire.
I used the original boss (all cars 6/1997 to 2006) Flanges, modified to mount the B&G to the Steering Column and Moto Lita steering wheel.
With the wheel mounted, the location is a 1/4 “ closer to the dashboard.

Original boss with flanges cut off.

Fabricated aluminium plate to cover steering hub assembly.

Original tapered and splined flange bolted back onto the steering column. Note the B&G flange recess for the horn connection, I had to machine the Bolt diameter down a few thou and filed a slot for the horn wire.

B&G quick release fitted.

Have found entering and exiting the Mog is much easier for me with plenty of room to swing my legs.
