Must admit, I started watching the highlights and couldn't be bothered so just turned off
I recorded it, watched it Sunday evening and half way through dozed off. Superficially they look better, but the racing isn't good.
Why?
I suspect it is because the new rules allow the designers to go OTT with "aero", so the cars leave an A380esq hole in the air, making the aerodynamic aids on the following cars virtually useless. This makes overtaking, even with the DRS system, virtually impossible. Stupid.
There was a comment by one of the "talking heads" that this was recognised as a possible issue...well it is a real issue.
I think we are going to have a tedious season, with wins dependant on qualifying and pit strategy. I don't think I'll watch much of it.
