Oh, that's a new one on me - is that also every 1000 miles
I haven't touched them since last year's June MOT.
Do I go on the naughty step? getcoat

For the leaf springs, I can recommend either Castrol or Halfords motorcycle chain wax. It penetrates the leaves and dries to a wax, so very little mess.
It makes the ride smoother and reduces itinerant squeaks from that area.
On the damper blades (and also the hub splines), I always use copper-slip.
For the kingpins - Castrol or similar LM grease.
