Cleaning the car yesterday for the Steam & Classics rally at Haverstreet Station when I discovered:


A 35mm crack on the offside wing inboard of the side light, seems to be in line with the edge of the aluminium pad welded on the underside to take the wingstay



According to Gomog this seems to be a common problem.

First priority is to stop the crack spreading any further, I cleaned the car just two weeks ago and didn't see any signs of a crack then, since I have only driver around the island on short runs so it has developed quickly.

Any advice at this stage before I do anything would be greatly appreciated.
