After looking into powerful uk headlights website and speaking to john v6 as he has fitted some I found out that bmw wiring will through up a warning light saying bulb blown due to wiring not accepting led headlights and wiring having to be changed and software needs to be re written on ecu ! Peter G has had everything changed on his plus 8 to allow fitting of the factory led headlights .
Indeed, the BMW wiring detects blown bulbs.
I have LED sidelights and fitting a 5W load resistor keeps the "BMW Brain" happy.
I test fitted the LED Headlights at Williams and there is sufficient load from the main and dip beam units to keep the "BMW Brain" Happy.
