I'm wondering how long it will take for an electric car to have 300 mile range , and not weigh like lead !
It has been done already. The 1958 Arbel Symetric needed a battery change every fifth year. No charging and no range anxiety!

How successful was it ?
No success because nuclear batteries were not allowed by the authorities and then the Arbel company went bankrupt. However, such energy sources have been used in pacemakers running 30 years or more.
