Ok, success. I checked the bowls. Dry as a bone. I pumped and pumped the gas, but nothing came through. I filled the bowls with gas and started the car. Not an electrical issue. But as the gas emptied the bowls the motor stopped. I filled the bowls again and started the engine. I revved the motor a bit, to get the mechanical fuel pump working. It stayed on and idled as it should. I did not use the choke and it started very easily, perhaps because it was 88 degrees outside. The previous owner of the car said this would happen to him on occasion but he would put an air pump in the gas tank to push the petal through. Thanks for all your good suggestions. I would rather tinker to get it running, than call the very good Morgan mechanic down the road and part with my cash.
