Thanks to all for your advice
I finally managed to 'unlook' the brakes by kicking against the tyres. Jump starting didn't work, so I towed the car to a Ford dealership which recharged the battery (ok - could have done that myself...) and read out 13 (!) errors
I picked the car up yesterday and wanted to enjoy over the weekend - now it's raining heavily with no change over the next days - ahrrr
