Most cases sprogs are cheap to run in the first year or two. Usually you find doting grandparents all too happy to buy prams and others a bit further down the road are happy to pass on barely used baby clothes that your sprog will quickly grow out of anyway. In fact the thing you are most likely to be short of is sleep.
So hang on to the car a bit longer. Dont run for cover at the first sign of grapeshot.
