don't forget if your speedo is say 10% optimistic, your trip recorder will be also, which means you haven't covered as many miles as you thought...
When I've checked my Mog's speedo's against the speed shown on the TomTom, usually it reads nearly 10% fast.
This alters the mpg figures produced tremendously!
